About Us

Cornelia Coelho holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Nursing (B. Soc. Sc. Nursing) from the University of the Orange Free State, a Diploma in Intensive Care Nursing from the Nursing College of the Orange Free State, and an Advanced Diploma in Health Science Education from the University of South Africa. Building on her extensive healthcare background, she later completed a LL.B. degree and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in November 2016.

With nearly 15 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and Clinical Facilitator in both state and private healthcare facilities, Cornelia’s career was largely focused on critical care and emergency units. She spent eight years lecturing nursing students in the Western Cape, where she specialized in theory-to-practice integration, clinical accompaniment, and mentorship. In addition, she is a qualified assessor and examiner.

This deep medical foundation informs her legal practice, giving her unique insight into complex medical negligence matters.

She is a sought-after trainer and workshop facilitator, regularly presenting medical-legal workshops for various healthcare providers or medical institutions. She continues to provide nursing training in specialist areas of critical care—including arterial blood gas analysis, 12-lead ECG interpretation, and ventilation management—as a registered member of the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
